4 habits for better mornings before 9 a.m.

The mornings ain’t usually the greatest time. Wake up and get ready for the work. Not that much to look for, right?

Well, doesn’t have to be.

We create our own lives.

So — I decided to turn my moody mornings for the better.

First step was to find out what’s actually killing my mornings:

☠️ Mobile phone

Turning off the alarm meant grabbing my phone as the first thing when waking up.

Big no-no. Quickly turned into checking this or that. Mood killer no. 1.

☠️ Checking emails

Drains my energy like hell.

The urge to answer, put this-and-that on the task list…

My brain got easily derailed for the rest of the day.

☠️ Social media

Starts innocently: just checking on my posts.

Way too often turned into doom scrolling.

☠️ No exercise

Something may sometimes interfere: travel, early meeting, etc.

But missing it felt like starting the day with a minus point already.

Knowing my morning killers, I developed NEW habits instead:

☀️ Mobile only after breakfast

Emails can wait.

If it was that important, they would surely have rather called me.

Social media are not different.

☀️ Brew my own coffee

Intentionally slows me down. Time to thing.

Fights the urge to start working on wrong tasks.

☀️ Planning on paper

I use paper notepad to plan my day and week ahead.

Takes time — which is good for thinking :)

☀️ At least pushups

My k-bell not at hand? No time for full routine?

Pushups! They are fast and can be done even in hotel room.

Consistency mindset: important is not to slip!

Btw — how to start with a new habit and make it stick?

Try the habits stacking hack!
