New year. New resolutions?

Approaching new year seems to be the right time to set the ambitions. And the first week of January the best time to drop them.

Firstly, the artificial dates do not work. Why to think of the next 12 months only in the last week(s) of December? Why not to pay similar attention to our desired future on March 16th or August 2nd?

The change in the last digit of the date (well, that is if you are into the DDMMYY format:) is simply the result of the way we measure time. There is no magic to that nor any law that says the business or personal plans must be for January to December timeframe - don't you think?

Secondly, any change and ambition needs a battle plan, how actually to achieve them. Purchasing a gym membership is not a plan. Neither is the powerpoint presentation with +10% figures.

You need to change the BEHAVIOUR to make the change work.

That applies to both business plans and personal new year's resolutions. And yes - anytime, not just when the digits switch.

So --- do you know how to change your business' behaviour?
